It’s been a minute…

It’s been a few months, actually. I originally intended to publish this update in February. But things happen, and I don’t want to get into all of that. If you’ve been following along, you know that my web host, WebFaction, got eaten up by GoDaddy, a truly horrible company. After a lot of struggles, I finally ended up back at my old host, DreamHost. I will probably be here a while, because I need to get some writing done, including finishing up the series of posts I had planned to write about website backups, back before my world turned into a turd sandwich. (Hey, at least I managed to finish one off.)

The good news is that I will be writing here again, as well as at my other blogs. So you have that to look forward to.

The other good news (and this is even better, I think), is that some former employees from WebFaction have started a new hosting company, OpalStack, which is launching on April 29—right around the corner. They will have growing pains, like any new company, but I anticipate slowly migrating my websites over to them over the course of the coming year.

All right, it’s time to get back to work. For further information, see my May, 2018 Updates post.

See you in the ‘verse.
